Sinful Color Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Boom Boom Swatch

Oh my goodness! I didn’t understand the hype of jellies until I used Sinful Colors’ Boom Boom when doing my Le Tigre inspired manicure. Boom Boom an absolutely gorgeous raspberry pink jelly. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, and other stores (but not CVS.) The polishes usually retail for $1.99, though they go on sale every once in a while for 99 cents.

This is one of my favorite pinks in my collection. It went on smoothly, required only two coats, and had that lovely squishy depth characteristic of jellies.

Boom Boom works so well with Sticks ‘n Stones. Do you have any recommendations for pairing this jelly? I’m excited to try a PB&J manicure, but I’m not sure which glitter to use. What other jellies do you think are must-haves?”

Sinful Color Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Bikini Swatch

Sorry for the silence around here – I was on a road trip! Now that school has started, I want to make sure that I continue to swatch & blog since I so much enjoy having this outlet.

I recently picked up Sinful Colors’ Bikini, a glowing, near neon pink with lots of shimmer. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, and other stores (but not CVS.) The polishes usually retail for $1.99, though they go on sale every once in a while for 99 cents.

Bikini is close to Daredevil, but it dries a little less flat than Daredevil does. I’ll be sure to post a comparison swatch soon so that you can compare the two colors, also.

Do you have this color? What are some of your favorite pinks?

Sinful Color Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Citrine Swatch

I picked up Sinful Colors’ Citrine, a red-based orange creme, on sale at Rite Aid for 99 cents. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, and other department stores. The polishes usually retail for $1.99, though they go on sale every once in a while for 99 cents. I believe that Citrine is a Rite Aid exclusive.

The black speck on my pinky finger is from the brush, which is disappointing. Also, the formula was a little thin, so it dried unevenly. And while my camera is picking up a lot of red from the orange, I think Citrine would make a great nail polish for Halloween-inspired manicures.

I absolutely love the color of this polish, and I think red-based orange works well with my skin tone, whereas I don’t think I could pull off something that was more yellow based. Do you have any favorite orange polishes?

Sinful Colors Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Social Ladder Swatch

I loaded up on some polishes during Walgreen’s 99 cent sale on Sinful Colors polishes a couple weeks ago, and I’m just now getting around to swatching them. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s and other department stores that retail for $1.99. While they aren’t available at CVS, some colors are carried at Rite Aid.

One of the polishes I picked up is Social Laddera very sheer pinkish white base with pink and blue microshimmer.

I really like the shimmer in this polish, but it’s pretty streaky, even after 3 coats.

I’m thinking of combining this with Wet ‘n Wild’s Sugar Coat in order to make it appear more opaque.

What do you think of this polish and milky polishes in general?

Sinful Colors Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Cinderella Swatch

Cinderella was among the first Sinful Colors polishes I picked up. Cinderella is a pale, milky blue with pink and gold glass fleck and is inspired by the color of Cinderella’s gown. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s and other department stores for $1.99 per bottle. Though they aren’t available at CVS (the most popular drugstore chain in the DC area), they are available at Rite Aid, which carries exclusive colors, such as Citrine.

I wish the formula wasn’t quite so sheer. I used 4 coats, and it’s nowhere near opaque. But the fleck is really pretty, so I’ll keep experimenting with some layering combos until I find the right match.

Do you have this polish or any recommendations for good layering combos? Do you have any sheer polishes that you wish were just slightly more pigmented?

Sinful Colors Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors Timbleberry Swatch

I loaded up on some polishes during Walgreen’s 99 cent sale on Sinful Colors polishes a couple weeks ago, and I’m just now getting around to swatching them.

One of the polishes I picked up recently is Timbleberry, a red-leaning coral with a creme finish.

I generally don’t like coral colors, but Timbleberry is bright. I also prefer it to Island Coral. And while the formula was pretty difficult to work with, I’m willing to forgive it since it’s just so pretty!

My camera had a hard time capturing the coral, and is instead showing more red, but it really is a perfect summer color. Do you have any favorite summer colors?

Sinful Colors Nail Polish Swatch – Sinful Colors You Just Wait Swatch

I loaded up on some polishes during Walgreen’s 99 cent sale on Sinful Colors polishes a couple weeks ago, and I’m just now getting around to swatching them. Sinful Colors is a line of 3 free nail polishes carried at Walgreen’s and other department stores. They aren’t available at CVS, though.

One of the polishes I picked up is You Just Wait, a very pale, very sheer pink with green duochrome. It’s gorgeous!

As you can see from the photos below, You Just Wait is extremely sheer, so it will likely be better for layering. I generally don’t like duochrome polishes – they remind me of chameleon paint jobs – but this polish is really quite pretty, so subtle and delicate.

I haven’t yet decided what combo I want to pair this polish with, but I think I might try Wet ‘n Wild’s Sugar Coat – just something to give this polish a little more depth and coverage. Do you have any ideas for good combos for this polish?
