I recently purchased Wet ‘n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint from the Mega Last line. Immediately, it reminded me of Orly’s Gumdrop, so I thought to do a comparison photo of the two.
First, I Need a Refresh-Mint leans blue, whereas Gumdrop leans green. They’re very close in color, but they aren’t quite dupes.
I would imagine that of the two, Gumdrop is closer to Essie’s Turquoise & Caicos, but I couldn’t say for certain. The formula on Turquoise & Caicos was so thin and disappointed that I returned it before seeing how it compared to these two shades. I would like to compare them to China Glaze’s For Audrey and Picture Polish’s Tiffany.
What’s your favorite Tiffany-like blue? Have you found that perfect shade yet?
Orly’s Gumdrop is a green-leaning minty blue creme polish, very similar to Wet ‘n Wild’s I Need a Refresh-Mint. I’ve posted a swatch comparing the two, which can be found here!
The formula on Gumdrop is thin and pretty easy to apply. I used two coats for these photos and there was no VNL.
If you are searching for a perfect Tiffany blue, this is just about perfect, though the very slight green lean might make I Need a Refresh-Mint a better option. Do you own this color? Are you a minty green/minty blue fan? What are some of your favorite manicures using these colors?
